Sweta Bhattarai – item girl in ‘Producer’ Nepali Movie 2070

Model Sweta Bhattarai debuted in Nepali movie industry as an actress in the Nepali movie ‘Blackmail’ and she has done the first item dance in an upcoming movie ‘Producer’.

The item song titled ‘Mero jawanai hernalai ho chhuna lai hoina…’ features Sweta in a sexy micro-mini skirt. In the photo below, shows how short the skirt is: The movie ‘Producer’ is being produced by Rajkumar Rai for RC Pictures and directed by Janakdeep Parajuli, his debut as a director in Nepali movie industry. The movie features new artists like Shyam Aryal (journalist) and Payal Rayamajhi in their debut roles.

I'm not interested in breaking records: Aamir Khan

Bollywood actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan features in one of the most awaited films of the year, ‘Dhoom 3’, he says he is not thinking about how many records it will break. Reacting to reports stating that he has claimed that ‘Dhoom 3’ will surpass the business of Shah Rukh Khan`s ‘Chennai Express’, Aamir said in a statement:"I am not interested in breaking records. I am an artist, and what gives me a high is to entertain my audience, to give them a good time, and to satisfy them emotionally."

Aamir`s last release ‘Talaash’ was appreciated for his performance, but the movie couldn`t mint too much moolah. The actor believes the challenge does not lie in building numbers at the Box Office, it lies in winning the audience`s adulation. "I want to earn the love of my audience. That is what I am thirsty for. I like to challenge myself and do work that I have not done. I like to surprise my audience. These are the things that I am interested in," said the versatile actor, who will be seen in a negative role in ‘Dhoom 3’.

Aamir has just returned to Mumbai after month-long training schedule in Australia where he had gone to learn a special dance form.

‘Dhoom 3’,which is the third instalment of the Yash Raj Films` franchise, also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif. It will release Dec 20

Details of Aryan Sigdel’s movie November Rain announced

In a program held in Kathmandu Aryan Sigdel and the team announced the details of his debut movie as a producer. The movie named ‘November Rain’ will be directed by the director of ‘I am Sorry’, Dinesh Raut, and will feature Aryan, Namrata Shrestha and a new actress Chhulthim Gurung in lead roles.

The movie is jointly produced by Aryan and a NRN, Subash Giri under Aryan Sigdel Entertainment. The movie is written by Chetan Gurung, music is composed by Taraprakash Limbu and music videos will be directed by Alok Nembang.

The love story movie is scheduled to release on the Valentine Day, February 14, 2014.

Bhuwan KC announced Karodpati 2 on his birthday

Actor Bhuwan KC announced the making of the sequel of his movie ‘Karodpati’ named ‘Karodpati 2′ on his birthday. The movie will feature his son Anmol KC in the leading role.

After the success of ‘Hostel’ Anmol has raised in popularity among youngsters and is viewed as a next superstar in Nepali movie industry. Bhuwan has written the script of the movie with his son in his mind. Bhuwan says that the movie will go on floor after Dashain.

‘Karodpati 2′ will be the seventh movie of Bhuwan’s home production company, Kajol Films. He told that the movie will feature two actresses but he didn’t reveal the names of the leading actresses. The movie will also feature Bhuwan as a director for the first time.

Rekha Thapa to represent CPN Maoist in the election from Parsa

Rekha Thapa’s attempt to get a ticket from Kathmandu wasn’t successful. But, the CPN Maoist Parsa committee has nominated Rekha for the election in Parsa-1 electoral district. In the meeting of Bhojpura Rajya Samiti, held on Thursday, Basaruddhin Ansari was nominated in Parsa-2 election.

Rekha Thapa is a popular actress and she has a high chance of getting elected. But, the result of election depend on various factors like the competing opponent, personal behavior, and other unseen factors.

Rekha had formally entered politics by receiving the membership of CPN Maoist on Jestha 4. In addition to being active politically, she has also started advertising about her social works. She had also organized a religious ceremony in preparation of her new career.

Photo morphing in Urbashi poster

The first look poster of ‘Urbashi’ released on Monday was found to be a made by photo morphing of an English movie ‘Snitch’. The movie released on June 2013 featured Dwayne Johnson in the lead. ‘Urbashi’ makers had replaced Dwayne’s head by Kishor Khatiwada‘s head in the poster. 

The movie written and directed by Manish Pantha features Kishor Khatiwada and Neeta Dhungana in lead roles. Other actors include Arunima Lamsal, Kishor Shrestha, Mukesh Acharya, Pradeep Dhakal, Rashmi Bhatta, Samyam Puri, Sushil Thapa etc. ‘Urbashi’ was shot in places like Butwal, Palpa, Lumbini and Trebeni. The movie is expected to release on November 29, 2013.

Because of the lack of government intervention, poster morphing has been going on in Nepali film industry. Some have even used such a practice to get more publicity.

We believe, poster morphing is a new free advertising for film makers. So, we expect such a practice to increase in coming days.

Nepali Movie – Maun (pre-release review)

Nina Davuluri won Miss America 2014 title

A model of Indian origin, Nina Davuluri, has won Miss America 2014 title.The first Miss American of Indian origin was crowned the Miss America title on September 15, 2013. The Indian-American and the Asian-American community was overjoyed on the victory of Nina and the Runner-up Miss California Crystal Lee is a Chinese-American. Crystal said, "We’re making history standing here as Asian Americans."
